heads
up the writing team for A.M.I.S.H Chicago Advertising. Under
his direction, A.M.I.S.H has won the prestigious Achievement
in Radio Award for "Best Radio Commercial by an Advertising
Agency" each of the past two years.
Rick
has proven his writing abilities in every medium he has
tackled. In 1999, Rick won a national writing award judged
by best selling authors such as Elmore Leonard, Nora Roberts
and Chicken Soup for the Soul's Mark Victor Hansen. His
television work includes a stint working with the late Chicago
sportscaster Tim Weigel. However, it was in radio where
Rick really made his mark.
Kaempfer
has been writing for radio for over 20 years, including
ten years as the executive producer of the John Landecker
show on WJMK Chicago. In 1997 the National Association of
Broadcasters named the John Landecker show the best morning
show in Chicago. In 2000 and 2001 it was named the best
morning radio show in America (on an Oldies station) by
Radio and Records magazine. Rick has also written the parody
songs for 6 Landecker & the Legends CDs, which have sold
over 20,000 copies and raised well over $100,000 for Lambs
Farm in Libertyville.
Before
coming to WJMK, Rick spent seven years with WLUP AM/FM Chicago.
His duties there included writing and performing his own
comedy program (Ebony & Ivory), producing the #1 rated Steve
Dahl & Garry Meier show for 4 ½ years, and voicing and producing
countless radio ads. His songs have appeared nationally
via the Dr. Demento radio program and countless radio comedy
services.
In
1986, he received his B.S. in advertising from the University
of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. While working on his degree,
he discovered his life-long love of radio. He co-hosted
a comedy radio program with fellow A.M.I.S.H executive David
Stern. Before he left Champaign, he had also hosted the
morning and afternoon drive radio programs on WPGU-FM.
Despite
his many accomplishments, Rick has been fruitlessly rooting
for the Chicago Cubs for the past 35 years. Nevertheless,
he is certain that this is the year the Cubs will win it
all.

Rick
is
a creative executive and key member of the A.M.I.S.H Chicago
Advertising writing team. He penned the Eagle-award winning
A.M.I.S.H entry for TCF Bank. He also had a hand in both
of the recent Achievement in Radio Awards garnered by A.M.I.S.H
Chicago Advertising.
David
is well versed in the advertising world. He earned his Masters
Degree in Advertising from the University of Illinois in
Champaign-Urbana in 1986. Immediately following graduation,
he co-founded his own advertising agency; NOVA Media Resources,
which specialized in funny print and billboard advertising.
He
is also no stranger to radio. While still a student at the
University of Illinois, he co-hosted a comedy program at
WPGU-FM with Rick Kaempfer. He also ran the promotions department
of WPGU, winning acclaim for his innovative promotional
stunts. His collaboration with Rick Kaempfer continued after
David made the leap to Chicago in 1988. He was the head
writer for the Ebony and Ivory Program hosted by Rick Kaempfer
and Stan Lawrence. He has also contributed written comedy
material to the John Landecker Show on WJMK-Chicago and
to 'The American Comedy Network.'
While
David has extensive experience in radio and advertising,
he is most proud of the useless knowledge he has acquired
in becoming an expert on the rock group 'The Who.' Drexel
University uses David as an on-line expert.

Dave
is the production
director of A.M.I.S.H Chicago Advertising. He presides over
the state-of-the-art digital production studio he designed
and built for A.M.I.S.H. He was the man turning the knobs
on every award-winning radio commercial ever produced by
A.M.I.S.H.
Before
heading the A.M.I.S.H production team, Vince was widely
acclaimed as one of the best young production gurus in Chicago
radio. While studying the arts at Columbia College in Chicago,
he got bitten by the radio bug. He began producing comedy
bits for the top rated Steve Dahl and Garry Meier show in
1990. He stayed with that program for four years, before
he was given his own show on WLUP-FM. He was one of the
first producers to master digital production, and took those
skills with him to the John Landecker show on WJMK-Chicago.
For nine years he created the wall of sound that provided
the texture of the Landecker show.
His
wacky character voices and sound effects were heard on a
daily basis. His singing has been featured on two CDs of
Landecker & the Legends. His production work has also been
featured on several national radio programs, including a
Radio Hall of Fame broadcast. His production work is even
on display at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.
Among
his many responsibilities, Vince manages and directs the
many talented voice-over artists in the A.M.I.S.H. Chicago
Advertising stable. He has an ear for talent, and is always
on the lookout for new voices.
While
Vince has accumulated a vast array of production skills,
it is ability to ferret out dust that most endures him to
his family. His knowledge of vacuum cleaners and related
dusting products is unmatched.

his wife Liz, and their daughters Zuzu & Frankie live in Chicago.
